Heartbeat December 2023 Edition
This financial year, the Foundation (including Sub-Funds) donated $300,164 to 28 amazing charities in support of people in need.
We are thrilled to see our funding reach a broader geographic area, now helping people in South Australia, Queensland, Northern Territory, Victoria, and New South Wales.
Since 2018, the Foundation’s total assets have grown to $5.1 million, from the initial $2 million seed donation. During this time, we have also financially supported 52 charities by donating over $720,000 to help them grow stronger communities.
The Foundation has continued to receive extraordinary support from People First Bank employees, with 120 individuals volunteering 433.5 hours. Workplace giving raised $27,800, with the Foundation matching $5,975 of employee donations to charities of their choice.
People First Bank continues to provide amazing support by funding all of the Foundation’s operating costs. To date, People First Bank has contributed over $4.57 million to propel the Foundation forward towards our objective to be a major national contributor to Australia’s philanthropic landscape.
We are honoured to be able to assist the tireless work of our dedicated partners. These organisations have shown remarkable commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the community, and we are proud to support their impactful work.
We extend our thanks to everyone who has supported the Foundation and especially acknowledge the continued support of People First Bank. We are in a strong position to start the new financial year and look forward to creating more positive impact together.
