Bob East – Gold Coast SUNS Chairman
Bob East has more than 20 years’ experience in the tourism, hospitality and property industry. He is the Chair of adventure tourism company Experience Co (asx), Chair of Cettire (asx) and Chair of entertainment venue chain, Australian Venue Co. and Chair of Leisure Accommodation Collective An inaugural board member and passionate supporter of AFL on the Gold Coast, Bob was awarded the clubs highest recognition of Life Membership in 2020 for his exceptional service and contribution to the football club.
Mark Evans – Gold Coast SUNS Chief Executive
After teaching at secondary level for 11 years, was employed at Melbourne Football Club in Communications, Football Administration and Player Welfare Development before accepting the role at Hawthorn Football Club as General Manager of Football Operations in 2004. Mark held the role as AFL’s General Manager Football Operations from 2013 until his appointment as Gold Coast SUNS Chief Executive in February 2017. Upon his appointment he ran a successful campaign for an AFL Women's license to enter the competition in 2020, took to the international stage in 2017 playing the first game ever in China taking on Port Adelaide in Shanghai and in 2024 is leading the club into its 14th season.
