To commemorate our new name our flagship grant will now be called the People First Grant.

People First Grants – $60,000

This grant will support a charity that works across the majority of People First Bank footprint delivering an existing program in one all or all of the following focus areas:

  • Positive educational and alternative pathways to help at-risk children and teenagers;
  • Health care services for vulnerable Australians and their families; and
  • Support for the economic and social wellbeing of people in regional, rural and remote communities, including in times of natural disasters.

The Our Shout Workplace Giving Grant - $50,000

With the focus area being:

  • Positive educational and alternative pathways to help at-risk children and teenagers

Growing Stronger Communities Grants - 4 x $15,000

This year we are offering four general grants of $15,000 each, with the focus areas being:

  • Positive educational and alternative pathways to help at-risk children and teenagers;
  • Health care services for vulnerable Australians and their families; and
  • Support for the economic and social wellbeing of people in regional, rural and remote communities, including in times of natural disasters.

If you apply for the Our Shout Workplace Giving Grant you will also automatically register and be considered for a Growing Stronger Communities Grant.  The People First Grant is a stand alone grant.

The grant funds are only tied to the program you wish to apply for.  They are to be used to support the overall costs of that specific program, not attached to individual aspects of a program i.e. transport, wages or consumables.

We know that applying for grants can be a challenging process for any community group, but for Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, the degree of difficulty can be compounded.  The People First Bank Foundation is committed to reducing the barriers and obstacles for diverse organisations to apply for our grants program by working with applicants directly to ensure our grants program is accessible to all eligible applicants.
