The Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation today launched applications for its third round of grants, which will see another $90,000 being made available to help charities continue their good work around Australia.
Applications for this round of grants open today and close on Friday, 30 September 2022.
This year there again will be three levels of grants:
The Foundation gave all Heritage Bank team members who participate in the Bank’s “Our Shout” Workplace Giving program a chance to have a say about this grant. They voted for the grant to focus on supporting the economic and social wellbeing of people in regional, rural and remote communities, including in times of natural disasters.
These grants support charities who have existing programs/services focusing on one or more of the following areas:
The Foundation will continue with the special $5,000 funding pool this year that will enable the Foundation to chip in a $100 donation when a Heritage team member donates at least $100 to an eligible charity. That means the Foundation will be able to make 50 x $100 donations to causes that Heritage Bank employees actively fundraise for.
Foundation Executive Officer Paul Olds said, “We are extremely excited about our third grant round. The reality is we are still a very young Foundation, and each year the grant process has introduced us to an amazing collection of new charities all doing remarkable things to support the community.
“The incredibly hard part of the whole process is selecting the successful charity partners. So many of the submissions are extremely worthy, and there is literally heartache in the Heritage staff selection committee when reviewing the applications.” Mr Olds said
“The great thing is that we are continually growing, thanks to the generous support from Heritage staff, members and Heritage Bank who committed a further $500,000 to the Foundation this financial year. This means into future the Foundation will be able to give a helping hand to more and more people.”
Eligible not-for-profit organisations can apply here.
The grant round opens today (Monday 15 August, 2022) and closes at 5pm on Friday 30 September, 2022.
The Foundation will notify the successful recipients in early November 2022.
